How you edit the footer in WordPress depends on your setup: with Elementor Pro, edit the Footer template in Templates, Theme Builder; with a block theme, edit the Footer template part in Appearance, Editor; with a classic theme, use Appearance, Widgets or Customize, Footer. To remove “Powered by” text, use the theme’s footer option or rebuild the footer in Elementor.
- Find out who controls the footer: theme, block editor or Elementor.
- Elementor Pro Theme Builder gives full footer control.
- Put contact details, key links and copyright there.

What should a good footer include?
- Business name, address, phone and email.
- Links to services, about, contact, privacy and terms.
- Opening hours and social icons.
- A short call to action.
- Copyright with the current year (use a dynamic year).
Why can’t I find my footer?
Picture an owner searching Widgets for twenty minutes, while the footer is actually an Elementor template. Open the page in Elementor, hover over the footer: if it says “Edit Footer”, it is a Theme Builder template. Read Elementor Theme Builder header and footer.
