Table of Contents

Elementor display conditions decide where Theme Builder templates and popups appear: include or exclude the entire site, specific pages, post types, categories, tags, authors, archives or individual items. Set them when you publish a template, or later in Theme Builder. When two templates match the same page, the more specific condition wins. Newer Elementor versions also allow element-level display conditions to show or hide sections by rules.

Key takeaways
  • Include and Exclude rules can be combined.
  • Specific conditions beat general ones.
  • Use conditions for category-specific designs.
  • Popups use conditions plus triggers.
  • Element-level conditions hide sections by rules.

Why is the wrong template showing?

Imagine a site with two single post templates: one for All Posts, one for the “Recipes” category. A recipe shows the generic design. Usually the category template was not published, or its condition was set to a different category. Check Theme Builder’s list, open each template’s conditions, and remember the most specific matching condition is used. See single post templates.
