To show testimonials in Elementor, use the Testimonial Carousel widget (Pro) or Testimonial widget, or design review cards in a grid. Include the customer’s name, photo or initials, role or location, a specific quote about the result, and a star rating. Real, specific reviews placed near buttons persuade more than a long auto-scrolling slider; on mobile, a simple stacked grid is often better than a carousel.
- Specific results beat vague praise.
- Names and photos (with permission) add credibility.
- Place reviews next to calls to action.
- Avoid fast auto-play; let people read.
- Do not invent reviews; use real ones.
Carousel or grid?
| Option | Best for |
|---|---|
| Testimonial Carousel | Many short reviews, compact space |
| Grid of cards | 3 to 6 strong reviews, easy scanning |
| Single featured quote | One powerful case study |
| Marquee strip | Many short quotes, social proof feel |

What makes a testimonial persuasive?
Compare “Great service!” with “Our booking page went live in a week and we got 12 appointments in the first month.” The second names a result and a timeframe. Ask happy customers a simple question: “What changed after working with us?” and you will get usable quotes. Avoid adding Review schema for reviews about your own business on your own site, which is not eligible for review stars in Google.
How do you set up the carousel?
- Add Testimonial Carousel; add slides with content, name, title and image.
- Slides per view: 3 desktop, 1 mobile.
- Autoplay off or slow (6 seconds or more), pause on hover.
- Arrows and dots visible for control.
Design the whole page around proof with hero sections that convert.
